Our Grade 1 and 2 girls had the opportunity to do cross country outside of the school grounds on Wednesdays.  The Grade 1s did one lap around the block and the Grade 2s did two laps.  They all coped extremely well so we are sure our Grade 2s will be ready for ‘big’ cross country next year!

It’s all about Roald Dahl in the library this month. Born in September 1916 this incredible author continues to thrill young readers. Encourage your girls to visit the library – spot sticker prizes are being given out and there are colouring in pages available.

Aliens paid a surprise visit to Micklefield this week!

A few Grade 3 were inspired to raise funds in support of Victoria Hospital. They approached Mrs Welgemoed and mobilised all their parents to bake items for a bake sale. They provided some delicious goodies and packed them with Covid protocols in mind, selling them to the Foundation Phase children last Friday. On Tuesday an excited delegation delivered the sum of R2275 to the delighted staff of Victoria Hospital.

Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida, paid Micklefield a visit this week, as part of her school’s tour to promote her book, “Shudu finds her Magic”. What a kind, generous and gracious role model she is – beautiful inside and out. Her book’s message is one of kindness, respect and using your voice to speak out against bullying.
