Please refer to the Micklefield Uniform Policy, for guidelines on which combinations of winter uniform are allowed together. We have a heap of unmarked uniform items in lost property, some of the items are brand new. Please assist us by making sure that your daughter/s uniform is clearly marked. All marked uniform items are returned to the girls.

As a result of the increased Covid-19 infections, the Department of Basic Education cancelled all inter-school contact sport with immediate effect on Wednesday, 19 May. We are awaiting the final information to be published in the Gazette, but we will be going ahead with practices from Monday, 26 May, following the same schedule as we have been doing up until now. So Mondays and Wednesdays will be used as netball practices and Tuesdays and Thursdays as hockey practices. We will focus on skills and fitness.
Whilst we understand that the ‘no match’ situation is very disappointing for the girls and coaches, we need to focus on the positives of improving our girls’ skills and fitness as well as keeping them motivated so that they are ready when they are able to play matches again.
Please ensure that your daughter’s hair is tied back neatly and that all the tracksuit tops and fleecy tops are clearly marked. The girls need to wear their tops to and from practices and matches. It is important to put a warm top on after exercising.
Sisters perform together: Here is a video clip of siblings Nina (Gr 7) and Zoë West (Gr 1) playing together during the Foundation Phase Assembly for the first time – what a treat! Nina and Zoë West
Grade 7s attempt to create a bridge structure during Technology. They discovered that marshmallows are not the easiest material to work with….but definitely the most delicious!
We wish Kathryn and Mila (Grade 0) and family everything of the best as they head off for their new life in Portugal. Kathryn was the Grade 5 teacher at Micklefield for many years and wrote in her farewell card:
“Thanks for taking such good care of my Mila. She has loved every lesson, every day, every aftercare and every extramural. I am sad she will never wear a pink Micklefield dress.”
The Grade 2s have been busy learning about Space. The girls created their own constellations (with stickers, pins and black paper) and designed beautiful Astronaut Designer Space Suits in Art.
