Unmarked lost property will be available in the hall foyer from 09:00 – 12:00, Monday 29th November – Thursday 2 December. All uncollected lost property will be donated at the end of the year.
Grade 0 and Grade 00 finish school on Thursday, 2 December at their normal times, 12.30 and 12.45 respectively.
Grade 1 – 7 finish school on Friday, 3 December at 11.00. Please note the collection venue for your daughter.
Please note that there will be NO AFTERCARE on the last day of this term, Friday, 3 December as both Mevrou and Charleen will be joining the staff for the end-of-year lunch which is off the school campus.
All pupils return to school on Tuesday, 18 January 2022. The Grade 00 pupils have a staggered start.
Pupils will be given a once-off Declaration Form on the first day back which will need to be completed and returned to school to be kept on file. There will be no Daily Screening Form, but parents need to do the daily screening questions at home before sending pupils to school. Pupils will still enter the school via the hall door where sanitizing and screening will be done.
Pupils may arrive at school from 07.20 onwards unless they have an early morning activity

School run sport and extra-murals will start from Monday, 24 January 2022. Most private run extra-murals will also start on Monday, 24 January and they normally run for 8 lessons per term. Please contact the service providers of the private extra-murals directly for any information with regards to their extra-mural. Please see under Resources, Sport for more information on certain of the private extra-murals.
Please be aware that during Term 1 and Term 4 there is a compulsory Sports Hour for Grade 4 – 7 which takes place after school from 14.30 – 15.30 as follows:
As of the start of next year, the BVTS Micklefield Tennis Academy will offer private coaching at Micklefield and at WPCC. Please see the flyer below for more details.
The early morning tennis practices at WPCC will start from Monday, 24 January. Challenge matches will be played during the first week back on Wednesday, 19th, Thursday, 20th and Saturday, 22nd. Girls will be notified.
Gala training for U8, U9 and U10 will be at the Rustenburg Girls’ High School pool on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16.30 – 17.30. All swimmers must attend the Monday training session. If your daughter swims privately on another day of the week, she may just attend the Monday afternoon practice. If she is in the gala squad and does not train privately, she must attend both Monday and Wednesday training sessions.
Gala training for U11, U12 and Open age group girls will be at Rondebosch Boys’ High School pool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 06.45 – 07.30. All swimmers must attend both morning training sessions. If your daughter is in Shocking Pink, she must attend the Thursday early morning swimming and the Wednesday afternoon swimming at Rustenburg Girls’ High School from 16.30 – 17.30
Well done to Zinathi Mkosi, playing for the U12 Delta team and Lorenza Gonzallez, playing for the U11 Charlie team – the winning teams for the PSI League finals last weekend.
Micklefield participated in the last gala of this term on Friday, 19 November at the Herschel Senior School pool. Well done to all our swimmers who gave of their best! A special word of congratulations to our four Grade 7 girls who took up the challenge of having to swim all four strokes, regardless of preference and did themselves proud. A big thank you to Jemima Kennedy-Smith who was a superb assistant to Ms B at all the galas.
There have been a number of special staff celebrations recently. Congratulations to Michele Berry and Karin Peters on their 50th Birthdays and all good wishes to Lusa Seemann as she prepares for her December wedding!
It was treats galore and very happy shoppers at the Grade 4 Market Day. Well done to all the young entrepreneurs on a very successful market!
Loads of activities, pizza and watermelon and a huge amount of fun was the order of the day at the Foundation Phase Fun Day on Friday.
